About Viands

We buy several groceries in our everyday life, for which we first make a list and go to the shopkeeper or several online shopping portals. Too many times we forgot to take the essential things. We have to handle the costs sometimes, too. Viands App will try to solve all these issues with the help of Machine Learning Prediction and Recommendation techniques. My solution is planned particularly for the shopkeeper who has a lot of permanent customers. The solution would give an out-of-stock notice to the customer relevant to their grocery at home. With the aid of this solution, shopkeepers will increase their profits, while customers do not have to check their stock of groceries each time before placing any order.

Problems

Everyone nowadays uses an online platform to buy groceries. Due to social distancing or lockout conditions, the COVID’19 pandemic often raises the need for online purchasing. Local shopkeepers have come forward and put orders on WhatsApp or various other channels to bring goods home, but the issue is simply how we can lift sales to a level? From the customer’s point of view, sales have also been limited as a result of the pandemic. The Viands fixes the issue for both, i.e. Clients and shopkeepers. The Viands can improve shopkeepers’ profits, while consumers will preserve their expenses. In Hindi, the word Viands means “Khuraak,” which means that it meets everybody’s needs.

Potential Customer

Potential customers can be divided into two categories, it acts as a shopkeeper’s sales manager, whereas an assistant for customers, Viands can estimate the overall costs of regular food goods for a whole month or a week so that customers will control their expenses, whereas shopkeepers will maximize their sales and give customers updates about their food products that are about to finish.

I have used a mixed approach that will work with forecasting, reminders, and recommendations. For both customers, the same approach would work. Startups such as B2C which link a number of customers with grocery stores can also use the solution.

Innovation

There are many market-place suggestions, forecasts, and reminders applications. Like watching videos on YouTube or buying items from online shopping websites, all of them use machine learning algorithms to suggest playing the next video or buying the next thing.

For the customer's Viands uses a combination of all techniques. Since creativity denotes a phase from concept to realization. So I’m going to list some of this project’s inventions that will come under service innovation.

i. Based on customer previous order, the prediction and suggestion of the items to be purchased

ii. The consumer should handle the costs efficiently for a week or a month

iii. Doctors may also use the information to monitor any health risks customers may have,

iv. Based on data, shopkeepers may also hold their stocks innovatively

v. Also the insurance firm may use data to assess its future customers
